Tapestry Weaving Workshop February 25 & March 4, 11, 18, 25th
In this artisanal workshop you will learn to warp and weave on a small frame loom. The five Saturday sessions, as well as the invitation to work on your own time, will offer you the space to complete a 10” x 14’’ woven tapestry.
The guiding intention in this process will be to further develop one’s own aesthetic sensibilities, follow one’s inspiration, as well as an opportunity to delve into creative practice, investigation, and play.
Materials will include a generous array of beautiful all-natural fibers and an abundant rainbow of plant-dyed wool. An exploration of color, texture, and tapestry techniques (such as dovetail and slit) will be introduced and implemented as we go.
No prior weaving experience is necessary: beginners are welcome.
